I hope everyone had a nice holiday. I had the honor of cooking dinner for a small group of four people. The meal was vegetarian (actually vegan, except for one dessert), mostly organic, with no added sugar and nothing refined.

I met with my nutritionist this week, and she offered me some great recipes that are both heart healthy and full of flavor. Cobblers are, to me, one of the most versatile desserts. I've seen them made with a more biscuit-like crust and a pie-like crust...almost like a fruit pie with only the top pie crust.

Okay I know it's a little late, but I just watched Super Size Me. It came in the bag of movies my friend dropped off for me while I'm a shut-in.
All I have to say is, GROSS!

WASHINGTON - Think cooking the perfect Thanksgiving dinner is stressful? Something else is far more likely to raise your blood pressure: salt hidden in all those goodies. Don't blame the chef.

I just wanted to share this OUTSTANDING Chocolate Cake recipe I used to make my awesome Halloween Cake with!
I decorated it with a luxurious chocolate frosting all over, sprinkled with some coconut (dyed in 2 drops of food coloring), along with 2 "maizena" cookies dipped in the chocolate frosting for the cake as tomb stones with mini chocolate kisses aligned around the graves, sprinkled with crushed chocolate crackers as the dirt and a cone shaped chocolate glued by the icing on a chocolate frosted maria biscuit as a witches hat!
I swear, I don't think I've ever tasted a cake so chocolatey as this one, so creamy, so pure...!
