I certainly don’t want to belittle anyone’s compassion for animals. I would never want to downplay compassion at anytime. I'm also not against anyone being vegetarian/vegan however:
If you don’t like the inhumane treatments of animals at factory farms/slaughter houses, then you should work toward making them better.

I will admit it, I have only seen two movies from her- Twilight and Speak. DonaMaria inspired this idea of creating this poll(thank you!) I said that while I love Twilight, I really don't think it shows off her acting abilities. I watched Twilight before Speak and after seeing Speak, I want to watch every movie she has been in. Her acting, and the movie, gave me such a "wow!" moment.

Wow. Here's an angle that's out of outer space with the health care debate. The fat pride movement is pissed off at the language of the debate.

Beowulf is an epic poem, the longest to be passed down from Old English, one of the languages ancestral to Modern English. Most likely composed sometime between the 8th and 10th century (although this is debatable), it is an untitled manuscript and is seen as an encomium, a song that praises a king. In the poem, Beowulf, a hero of the Geats, endures three battles: the demon Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and the dragon.

Fear Itself Episode 5: Eater
I’ve got to say after last week’s disastrous show I was prepared to despise this one from the start. But, this time I was happily surprised! Last night’s episode of Fear Itself, was entitled, ‘Eater.’ And well folks it was a hit, not a homerun totally, but for an hour-long show, it was darn near perfectly done.

The Cake Eaters' is a quirky, small town, ensemble drama that explores the lives of two interconnected families coming to terms with love in the face of loss.
Living in rural America, The Kimbrough family is a normally odd bunch; Easy, the patriarch and local butcher, is grieving over the recent loss of his wife, Ceci, while hiding a secret ongoing affair for years; Beagle, his youngest son who was left to care for his ailing mother, works in the local high school cafeteria by day but has a burning passion inside that manifests itself through painting street signs; and the eldest son, Guy, has been away from the family for years while pursuing his rock star dream in the big city until the day he learns of his mother's passing and that he's missed the funeral.
Upon Guy's return home, relationships between the characters begin to unravel; Beagle's pent up emotions connect with Georgia Kaminski (Kristen), a terminally ill teenage girl wanting to experience love before it's too late; Easy's long time affair with Marg, Georgia's eccentric grandmother, is finally exposed to the Kimbrough children; and Guy discovers that, in his absence, his high school sweetheart, Stephanie, has moved on and started a family of her own.

A 6-foot-3, 265-pound man says a restaurant overcharged him for his trips to the buffet line, then banned him and a relative because they're hearty eaters. A spokesman for the restaurant denies the claim.
Ricky Labit, a disabled offshore worker, said he had been a regular for eight months at the Manchuria Restaurant in Houma, eating there as often as three times a week.
