I don't like to send cards much because it is a big hassle to go the stores, pick out the cards, and mail them out. The cost of sending cards can add up pretty fast as well.
So I was very happy when I found out about Ojolie animated ecards from a friend.

Ok, I blogged about my best friend's 2 year old son, Jacob, being in the hospital with what looks like West Nile Virus yesterday. http://teamsugar.com/group/390347/blog/657019
Today, I'm asking for you guys to send him ECARDS so that his mom can print them out and put them on the wall for when he wakes up!! PLEASE help do this, it won't take much time and it's free.

I want to share a site called mirbit.com
It is a completely free site that allows you to easily get creative. In 'dragz', you can upload a photo and then add such things as decorative frames, funny objects, text, etc. to it to make it more fun/interesting.

I guess my geekiness is revealed when I say that I love sending ecards to friends and family — especially ones that are insanely funny or customizable. HD Greetings is the latest and greatest ecard website, offering cards that have been created with 3D software tools (the same as Pixar movies) to produce 1080p HDTV resolution graphics. Choose from a variety of occasions and there are even some that allow you to import a photo — making it that much more personalized.

I find many e-card sites to be so blah. After awhile they all look the same, with the exception of someecards, of course. Phreetings is an easy-to-use, fun site that helps you create your own photo e-cards using images from Flickr.

Thank You Too is a thank you e-card service with an old fashioned twist.
You select from a variety of short, but sweet messages like "You are beautiful. Thank you."

Standard e-cards are pretty generic, while Someecards can be clever but too snarky — and neither of them is what you really want to send to people: personal. Postcard FM is more than personal — it's crazy fun! You get to put together any picture and any song (just upload each file), slap in a message and an email address, and your recipients get a custom card!

My friend writes:
Sorry for the delay in updating...it has been busy. Jake was doing better yesterday, He was in a better mood: talking, smiling, and playing a little...by the end of the day, he had enough and had a major meltdown though. I don't blame him - he has seen physical, occupational and speech therapists, dermatologists, neurologists, oncologist, infectious disease specialist, and his regular team of doctors and nurses.

Still no real news on the cause of the fevers. He has been having a rough couple of days - fevers wanting to stay up near 104 and 105.
