Clean & Green
Here's a collection of my favorite natural cleaning formulas, concoctions
and witches brews. MOST are safe and nontoxic, with a few exceptions which are clearly noted.
Use the ingredients listed below when making your own alternative cleaners, most are
inexpensive and you probably already have many of them in your kitchen cupboards.

Moravian Spice Cookie Waffers
From Food Network Kitchens
This cookie comes to us from North Carolina by way of Central Europe; it's a classic, peppery spice cookie brought to the U.S. by Moravians in the 1700s. The key to this cookie is rolling it super-thin to get that characteristic snap; it's a lot easier to roll it that thin between waxed paper.

I made an apple crisp with apples from the aunt and uncle's orchard¹.
No huge story today, just a recipe and some photos.
Sorry things aren't precise but think of them as guidelines.

Whenever I get with my girlfriends they always beg me to bring these scones! So here's the recipe:
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup of whole wheat flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons whipping cream
1/3 cup (about) raspberry jam (do not use seedless) (optional: I use sugar free jam to cut the sugar)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon rose water (optional) or if you can't find the rosewater, almond extract taste yummy too.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
