Coffeeshop.
It's simply a great dining experience at Astons.

Many of the benefits of pets — companionship, affection and so on — have been well known for centuries — even numerous ancient Egyptians cherished their companion animals. However, data gathered during only the last few years have shown just how significantly our health is improved if we share our lives with animals.
A study undertaken in 2002 by the Waltham Center for Pet Nutrition and United States Food and Drug Administration revealed that the heart rates and blood pressures of pet owners increased less when the individuals were presented with math problems to solve if their companion animals were present.

Poor me, I’m one of those sad ladies you see looking through boutique shop windows wanting to buy all the clothes and shoes (and winter coats) that my heart desires.
Alas, my bank account often screams to me from the hole in the wall on the other side of the road – don’t you bloody dare.
Fortunately I have some degree of self control and therefore end up spending my dosh on food – and that’s not doing much for my thighs!
Please tell me I am not the only one who refuses to spend money on what I cant afford.

UN Budgets and Follow the Money
Kenneth Anderson • November 8, 2009 9:01 pm
The New York Times reports on budget season at the UN and various battles hotting up. It’s a good piece by Neil MacFarquhar, dated November 7, 2009. As the article says, that fact that
it costs the United Nations an average of $2,473 per page to create every single document in its six official languages, while outside contractors complete the same work for around $450, prompts diplomats to accuse the organization of running amok during a global financial crisis.

Every story has a beginning, i guess this is how everything started for me.
Ever felt that your teenage life was the most mundane, colorless and lifeless? Ever felt that you don't belong no matter how hard you tried to reach out?

When Maj. Brian Dennis of the United States Marine Corps met a wild stray dog with shorn ears while serving in Iraq, he had no idea of the bond they would form, leading to seismic changes in both their lives. "The general theme of the story of Nubs is that if you're kind to someone, they'll never forget you -- whether it be person or animal," Dennis tells Paw Nation.

This goes along with the story that I posted in 4.0 about Meatless Mondays in Baltimore schools
Jon Stewart ended an interview with climate-change contrarian and Super Freakonomics co-author Steven Levitt on Monday night by noting, "I've apparently frightened our audience by suggesting that conservation isn't the only way out of any of the problems of the world. I sincerely apologize."
He added, "And I do also believe that we should just eat vegetables."

Right-wing women rock
Looking at the shoes tells a lot about a female's political persuasion
By IAN ROBINSON
The recent election of Danielle Smith as leader of the Wildrose Alliance reminded me that among the many things I love about the libertarian/right wing are the women.
Could be our slogan: Come for the culture war ...
