Mashed Old Fashioned
Mashed Old Fashioned East Coast Style
Adapted from a drink by Scott at Perbacco
1 slice orange
1 slice blood orange
2 brandied cherries
1 tsp fine sugar (or small sugar cube)
1-2 dashes of bitters
2 oz bourbon or rye (see note*)
ginger ale
In a chilled old fashioned glass, muddle oranges, cherries, sugar and bitters. Add ice, pour whiskey over it and stir. Top off with a quality ginger ale (this is what Scott says makes it "East Coast").

I'm not big on perfumes that smell, you know, perfumey. I like to smell more like SOMETHING in particular, whether it's vanilla, lavender, citrus, etc.

2 cups ginger ale 1/2 cup vodka 1 tub CRYSTAL LIGHT TROPICAL PASSIONS Strawberry Kiwi Flavor Low Calorie Soft Drink Mix 2-1/2 cups crushed ice 6 each kiwi and strawberry slices Place ginger ale, vodka, and drink mix in blender container; cover.
