I love this polish, but I have really been trying to figure out how China Glaze could have possibly came up with the name for this one. This polish applied pretty well. I have on about three coats. This polish dries semi dull and due to that and the glitter it dries with a textured finish. If the semi dull/textured finish is not your thing, you can easily add a high gloss topcoat after your last application. This will give the polish the desired gloss finish.

Hi everyone,

Well, I just ordered "some" nailpolishes in the US.... and I was wondering what you guys think of my choices before I can actually show you how they look on my nails. I'm curious to see if your opinion changes or not.

I've never used or seen this brand in person, so I'm very curious!! I ordered these because of pictures I've seen of people wearing them or because the colour in the bottle intregued me.... This is one coat of For Audrey!!! Amazing huh! I do have to get used to the brush though, it's soo much smaller then the other ones. But look at the colour payoff!! It's super. The first one is in the shade and the second picture is in sunlight.

The Topcoat I used on these nails is the Ghoulish Glow, this does glow a little in the dark and glows more if you keep your hands in front or a light before turning off the lights. But it's not like they give light or anything.

I love the fact that I can make posts and put them on hold for a little while before it get's posted
Here I'm wearing Awaken from the China Glaze - Romantique Collection.
I used these products:

Nail Tek - Step one (cleans, primes and reinforces nails),
Nail Tek - Foundation II (intensive therapy),
Nail Tek - Foundation II (ridge-filling base coat with strengthener),
China Glaze - Romantique Collection one coat and no topcoat in the Sun pictures. 2 coats and topcoat in the flashlight picture,
Seche Vite - TopCoat (only in the flashlight picture)

Sun (one coat, can you believe it?? It's an amazing coverage! I do think that the colour stays on longer if you have two coats on though, so that's why I added an extra coat and a topcoat)

China Glaze - Lubu Heels

Hi everyone,

I'm really planning to stop all the nailpolish posts, really I am, but I keep wearing polishes I HAVE to show you because I love them sooo much, like these Lubu Heels by China Glaze. This is 2 coats of Lubu Heels over 1 coat of OPI Black Onyx. The Lubu Heels is a black polish with dark red glitters, the black OPI is just there to make me need less coats to create an opague polish.

It does actually feel like the Louboutins were the inspiration for the polish with the black look if you glance and the red glitter (like the soles of the shoes) if you see it in the light.

Hi everyone,

My final post for this weekend is this amazing blue, which I LOVE, seriously if you ever need/want a dark blue polish without any glimmer, shimmer or glitter, this is the colour for you. The colour I'm wearing today is China Glaze - Calypso Blue from the Bahama Blues collection.

I have no other words for you to tell you about this colour. The lamp and shade colours are the most real.

Hi everyone,

Well, we all know there are amazing fall nailpolishes coming, and this might be one of my favourites.
It's Stroll from the China Glaze Retro Diva Fall 2009 Collection. It's a dark red with a hint of brown and gold glimmer (it's not officially a glitter, but it does have glitters in it). When you look at it in bright light you see the glitters and the red tint best, but normally indoors the colour is almost black.The Sun and Flash pictures are most realistic.

China Glaze - Cowgirl Up

Hi everyone,

I'm supposed to have more time, but somehow it's filled with many non-computer things. Here I have a polish I recently got because I wanted a colour that wasn't really a red or a purple or a brown, but one that would work as one. I saw this polish and I fell in love with it. It's another China Glaze polish, this one is from the Fall 2008: Rodeo Diva Collection and it's called Cowgirl Up. It's what I'd call a red tinted purple, but it's got a blue shimmer in it which has a sparkle but it's also a frosty colour. It sounds really strange, but look at the pictures and you'll agree it's a gorgeous colour.

I'm sorry for the no sunlight pictures, I've been gone most of the time and I completely forgot to take a picture in the sunlight before taking it off for Parlez-Vous OPI?.

China Glaze - Custom Kicks (blue with gold shimmer)

Hi everyone,
Here is the second part of the OPI vs Seche Vite "challenge". I tried to show you the difference between the hold of the nailpolish using Seche Vite as a topcoat on one hand and OPI as a topcoat on the other. But then I heard that well, I'm righthanded sooo one hand should chip faster (it was my left hand that actually chipped faster). Sooo to show everyone the same test, only with the brand of coloured polish differen and the topcoats switched, I did this post.
I'm wearing:

Nail Tek - Step one (cleans, primes and reinforces nails),
Nail Tek - Foundation II (intensive therapy),
Nail Tek - Foundation II (ridge-filling base coat with strengthener),
China Glaze - Custom Kicks (three coats. This polish has nailhardners in it and this colour is from the Kicks collection) I'm also wearing this colour in this post, I talk about how this polish is a little greener then on the pictures. This is because of the gold glimmer in the polish. Also this polish chipped very quickly that time, so I wanted to test it again. Another problem I had with this polish (both times) is bubbles.

Hi everyone,
I showed you my nails after the application on Thurday night, the day I took these photo's was Saturday night after my bath. The bath ruined the Seche Vite nails, it could stand the quick morning showers (not washing my hair) but the bath....I switched hands and as you can see, still the Seche Vite is the one with the most chipping.

Maple Glazed Pumpkin Ring

PUMPKIN RING
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 t Baking soda
1 t Cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground allspice
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Unsalted butter softened
3/4 c Packed light brown sugar
2 lg Eggs
1 c Solid-pack canned pumpkin
1/3 c Maple syrup
1 t Pure vanilla extract

GLAZE
1 c Confectioners' sugar
2 tb Sour cream
1 tb Maple syrup
1 tb Fresh lemon juice

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 6 1/2-cup capacity ring mold. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and salt; set aside.

Beat butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stop mixer and add pumpkin, syrup and vanilla. Mix in on low speed. Add dry ingredients and fold in with a rubber spatula.

Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool in pan 5 minutes then carefully loosen from sides of pan with a small knife Invert onto a wire rack placed over a sheet of waxed paper.

Meanwhile, prepare glaze. Sift confectioners' sugar into a medium bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Spoon over warm cake, letting glaze drip down sides. Cool completely.
