(CNN) -- They don`t call it "Twi Crack" for nothing.Lisa Hansen, for example, thought she had lost her mind the first time she read "Twilight." Partly because she`s 36."I was absolutely worried that something was wrong with me," the Utah mother of two said. "I just couldn`t put it down -- I was obsessed completely."She picked up the first of Stephenie Meyer`s vampire novels -- recommended by a teen neighbor -- with few expectations.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just tried to get into the Neue Galerie on 86th and Fifth, but it was closed, so they walked up to the corner of Madison Avenue and grabbed hot dogs from the local vendor. No kids in tow.

How many House votes will Obamacare lose because of its abortion subsidy?
by John McCormack
Douglas Johnson, the National Right to Life Committee's legislative director, calls it a "bookkeeping scheme" and an "idiosyncratic definition of 'public funds' that would never be accepted for five minutes if the issue weren't abortion."
Rachel Laser of the pro-choice group Third Way argues that the Stupak amendment would deny abortion coverage to many women who currently have it if they are dropped from their employer-based plans and need to purchase the government-run or government-subsidized plans.

An Ill Wind is Breaking For Our President
T. Coddington Van Voorhees VII
Editor at Large, the National Topsider
Another Labor Day weekend wafts into Montauk, borne as always upon a chill wind of melancholy; a breeze that ushers in blithe spirits for the coming gay lawn soirees, the final chukkers of the summer polo leagues, the annual Montauk-to-Newport gin barrel regatta. But the selfsame mistral likewise presages season's end, and the maids' ritual packing away of the pastels and seersuckers for the annual migration to the dismally gauche winter quarters of Florida.
