Why spend $50 on birthday invitations when you've got an artistic four-year-old? My daughter's fifth birthday is fast approaching and she wants to invite her entire preschool class to her party. Not all the children's parents are in the class email group or listed in the address directory and we don't want to accidentally leave anyone out. So I needed to figure out a foolproof way of getting every tot an invitation.

Using a marker and a piece of construction paper, I created a flier listing all the details and then asked my daughter to design the rest of the sheet. After doodling a border, birthday cake and dress, she was finished. We ran copies of her masterpiece onto pink paper and sent them to school where her teacher popped one in each child's backpack. Parents clearing out their kids' knapsacks easily found the bright invite.

Madonna is set to play 10 European dates starting in August on her “Sticky and Sweet” tour, which will last just under a month. She knows that in order to remain relevant she’s got to pull out all the stops, which may include bringing in a younger tabloid target in a blatant attempt to get press. For her last tour Madonna rehashed some of her tired old blasphemy, and that worked slightly, but this time she’s ready to really get people talking.

The Sun reports that Madonna will record a video with Britney tomorrow that will be shown as a background during her upcoming show. Madonna has also reportedly asked Britney to join her as a walk-on guest on the tour. There’s some analysis that this will help Britney’s stagnant career, but unless she can pull it together in less than a month that’s doubtful.

MADONNA has asked troubled BRITNEY SPEARS to join her on tour - and pals hope she will give guidance to the young star.

The Queen Of Pop, 49, is set to record a video with Britney, 26, in New York tomorrow.

The footage will be broadcast on huge screens as part of Madge’s Sticky and Sweet tour, which kicks off on August 23.

Madonna has also invited Britney to appear in person on some of the world tour dates.

A source close to Britney revealed: “They are recording a video together on Sunday that will provide the backdrop for part of Madonna’s show.

“And they are talking about Britney taking the stage on a few of the dates too.

“There’s no doubt that her [sic] and Britney together will spell fireworks again.

This is all about Madonna, and no matter how Britney performs she’ll bring attention to Madge and her show. This woman likes to rub her crotch all over the Catholic church and staged a mock crucifixion while wearing a crown of thorns for her last tour. She even invited the pope to come see it. Madonna doesn’t give a sh*t if Britney is mentally or physically prepared to go on stage with her. She’d prop her up on a platform and wheel her around if she could get away with it. Madonna puts on an amazing show, there’s no doubt about that, but she also does whatever she has to do to stay famous, and it sure has worked for her so far.

The red and black invitation for the May 17 nuptials reads:
“It’s getting late so save the date: Ashlee & Pete, join us May 17, 2008, Los Angeles. Transportation will be provided to the wedding. You will be contacted with additional information.”In lieu of gifts, the couple asked that donations be made to Invisible Children, a nonprofit group the couple has been involved in for more than a year.This invitation was part of a text message and email campaign the couple hurriedly put together before their wedding to let guests know of their special day.

As for a parting gift for guests (pictured below), on their way out of the wedding, they received Alice in Wonderland-inspired cookies (wrapped in a box within a box) that read “Eat me.”

Johnny Depp has reportedly offered Lindsay Lohan a vacation on his private island, because he thinks she could use some time away from the spotlight.

The island, which is appropriately called, "F**k Off Island," is the home to Depp and his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. Apparently Depp invited her after meeting her backstage at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

The Boston Globe quotes a source as saying: "Johnny realizes the pressures of fame and can see Lindsay could do with a break."

Who could pass up on an offer like that? Wonder if she'll be taking her girlfriend Sam along for the romantic vacation.

In Washington everyone’s buzzing over the invites to the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. They have a long list of A-listers that will be attending, among them, Ben Affleck, Marcia Cross, Eric Dane, Hayden Panettiere, Ed Westwick, and of course, Lauren Conrad. I think she should bring Whitney…it would make a great episode of The Hills, don’t you think?

The devil wants to keep us believers subject to legalism. It he can't condemn us for what we do, he will try to torment us for what we don't do. He wants us to feel guilty when we don't read the Word and pray, suggesting that God isn't pleased with us, or that He is even mad at us for what we haven't done.
God never condemns us for not being disciplined, but He lovingly invites us to spend time with Him. Heaven is available to us through simple trust in Jesus, but the good life is enjoyed when we act the way Jesus acts. We should want to read the Word because it holds the keys to knowing God intimately and enjoying Him fully.
