Cesar Rodriguez knew he was addicted to electronic devices. But the Los Angeles 10th-grader had no idea just how sick he was.
"I can't stand it," he wrote in his journal on the second day of a one-week attempt to survive without television, iPods, cellphones, BlackBerrys and computers.

The commencement of the first round of the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs did not disappoint! There was exciting play from coast-to-coast and some of us were JUMPING for joy, despite having racing hearts and nervous moments throughout the games that meant the most to us. Isn't that what NHL Stanley Cup Playoff action is all about?

If the Pittsburgh Penguins don’t realize the enviable position they’re in, the large NHL standings board in the middle of their dressing room should tell them.
Only two Eastern Conference teams are listed, with the conference finals results in bright red numbers: Penguins 3, Flyers 1.
For the Penguins, it’s one victory to go to play for the Stanley Cup, a large picture of which also is displayed in their locker room.
