I just rented this movie and watched it last night. This movie was not only appealing b/c I'm a big fan of the 'lolita' look, but the images, scenery, and the characters are awesome. It's touching and pretty hilarious.

I was rather surprised listening to the radio on the way in that they didn't say the words "war" and "criminal," since it's long been not a fringe but a legitimate mainstream question as to whether McNamara was such during the Vietnam years. He all but acknowledged it himself.

Lolita (ロリータ・ファッション, roriita fasshon) is a fashion subculture in Japan that is primarily influenced by Victorian children’s clothing as well as costumes from the Rococo period. Lolita has made this into a unique fashion by adding gothic and original design elements to the look. From this, Lolita fashion has evolved into several different sub styles and has created a devoted subculture in Japan.
