As a science enthusiast and gadget geek, I will generally move towards any new piece of everyday technology that makes life a little closer to the hyper-futuristic 21st century envisaged by the sci-fi writers of a few decades back. (In an ideal world, these bits of technology will also make life a little easier, more convenient and fun to boot.)
Where books are concerned, my low-tech alter ego consistently wins out. Although it seems like a combination of electronics, sleek gadgetry and a well-written book would satisfy both the book fan and the tech fan in me, I'll take a real paperback novel over a digital eBook reader every time.

Sex is not limited to particular places or times. If you have a passion to experiment with your sexuality why always you should go for the traditional way of sexual acts? Why to have sex inside in a bed when you can do it outside?

Doubleplusungood: That Copy Of 1984 On Your Kindle Is Now Gone from the you-never-had-that-book... dept
For quite some time we've been pointing out the simple fact that, unlike with a physical book, you don't really own the ebooks that you buy on your Amazon Kindle. Even worse, Amazon can simply delete them at will.

If I had the money to burn right now, here is what I'd buy:
A Kindle. A new laptop as mine is 6 years old. And a flat screen TV for my bedroom (and living room).

The History of APRONS
I don't think our kids know what an apron is.
The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath, because she only had a few, it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less material, but along with that,
it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.
It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.

Scary times on ‘the third rail’
By Wesley Pruden
It's a little early to play the race card, but the Obama partisans, if not Barack Obama himself, are scared. They don't know what else to do to get their expectations, so carefully nurtured over spring and summer, in line with reality. The mainstream media's ganging up on a pregnant 17-year-old girl didn't work.

" ' Do not go about spreading slander among your people." 'Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor's life. I am the LORD.'"
Leviticus 19:16
The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man's inmost parts.

I have talked about the infamous tradition of Isla Vista Couch Burning. Today in our school paper they had an article about the recent efforts to extinuish this sort of rite of passage for graduates
"As the school year winds down, it seems as though university and county officials can already detect the scent of burnt upholstery in the air.
Last summer, the county government passed an ordinance to try and stop the “tradition.” This spring, foot patrol officers will be wandering the streets - out of uniform - to try and catch perpetrators in the act.
