In honor of Reading Is Sexy's grand opening, I'm going to start off with the series that's has been holding me in a chockhold for going on 10 years now.
Nora Roberts, writing as JD Robb in her not so far distant future has captured my attention since my very good friend lend me a copy of the 1st of the series, Naked In Death. That copy started me on my 10 year journey of hunting and gathering mission to find and read every one of the books in the series.

Azazel Walking
I stared out the window watching trees and road pass by while listening to the music blaring out of my ipod speakers. I didnt even notice the car stopped until my mother called “We’re here Azazel! Get the he.ll out!” I grabbed my stuff and slammed the car door shut.

SEATTLE - As snowstorms blew into this Northwest city and the economy iced over in December, the occupants of a shelter nestled among industrial buildings on the north side prayed for divine intervention.
“We were hoping for the Christmas miracle,” says Glen Dennis, 41, who was working his way through a residential drug-treatment program at the CityTeam Ministries shelter. Dennis and the other 11 guys in the long-term program —dubbed the “disciples” — also worked each day to prepare for some 50 to 60 overnight shelter guests, and dish up free hot meals to about 100 people.

Gordon Ramsay is synonymous with food and over-the-top bitchiness. Best known for Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, the potty mouthed chef is also an outdoorsman. While filming his show The F Word, which can be seen on England’s channel 4 or the BBC for those lucky cable owners, he fell down a 28 foot cliff.

I was truly fortunate to get tickets for the sneak peek of Coraline, though I was forced to miss the Columbia/Screen Gems panel and will therefore not be reporting on Resident Evil: Extinction, 30 Days of Night, and Superbad. I must say it was certainly worth missing Josh Hartnett to see this footage, and that's really saying something! In a movie theater just outside the convention center, we were treated to a Q&A with author of the original novel Neil Gaiman and writer/director Henry Selick.

Good morning, ladies! Today we are all about atoxicsparkle, our favorite beauty queen, who's going to be getting beautiful down in Kentucky this summer! Now we don't know exactly what she's going to be up to (it's not the Derby!) but she is going to be walking a lot and visiting lots of friends.

It's now summer and there aren't a lot of tv options, which is actually a good thing because I definitely watch less tv during the warm months when the lake is a bit more inviting than my couch. But, there are a few things I will be DVRing for when I am at home:
Hells' Kitchen - One of my favorite summer reality shows; I'll never miss a Gordon Ramsey show.
Top Chef - The reunion of the first and 2nd season contestants will be super fun.

In advance I apologize to anyone who may have already suggested this:
I would find it handy, especially when printing recipes in Kitchen Goddess, to have the option for a printer friendly version. This would allow to save color cartridges and also not print out all the comments to the blog. I'm not sure if this would take much work but it would make it really nice for anyone who prints.
