A friend shared this recipe with me, and it has been a favorite in our family around Christmas since then. It is so easy to make. Santa gets some of this along with his cookies and cocoa.

And easier to read (and make version) due to "poorly written" directions of the last one

I am going to include these in my Christmas gift bags for my co-workers, in-laws, and other various acquaintances that I give gifts to. I wanted to come up with something savory to go along with all of the sweet concoctions that I have decided to make as well. This year the gift bags will contain:
White chocolate peppermint bark
Chocolate covered pretzels
Peppermint Patties (thanks schianne!)
Cheese Straws (my other savory delight!)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Fudge (thanks fragiltearz!)
Sugared and Spiced Holiday nuts
Here is the recipe for the Sugar and Spiced Nuts, I thought this might be something other people would enjoy making as well.

Mad busy today! I got up early and baked a huge batch of cookies. I dubbed them UFO cookies but they are really called buried cherry cookies.

Every year I try to come up with a few really good recipes for homemade goodies that I can give to my co-workers, in-laws, etc. for Christmas. This year I'm going to try to not go too over the top, and on my list of things I want to make I have come up with peppermint bark, which is an old reliable recipe.

I plan on cooking with the boys all weekend - we have to make some goodies for Santa. :) Plus, our church is asking for people to bring in baked goods so they can pass them out to nursing home residents in the area on Christmas day. I have my standard favorites - snickerdoodles, pretzel rods dipped in chocolate & wrapped with carmel, fudge, peppermint bark, etc...

An adorably sweet way to let someone know youre thinking of them this holiday season is to make a cute snack and present it in a decorated jar. You can easily dress up a standard glass jar by tying some festive ribbon around the top.
Here are some recipes for the contents of the jar!
