Grammy-winning producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins says he's working with Britney Spears on some "very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy, and hook friendly" material for the singer's next album.
"I'm trying some new things [with Spears] … I've always worked with Britney and I love working with her," Jerkins told Rap-Up TV last week at Interscope Geffen A&M's Creme of the Crop dinner in Los Angeles. "I'm try to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project."

Negotiations resumed Sunday between striking Broadway stagehands and theater producers struggling to find a solution to their thorny, seemingly intractable labor dispute as theaters faced a third week of dark stages and mounting box-office losses.
Resumption of the talks - after a week of no negotiating - had been announced the day before by Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of the League of American Theatres and Producers, and were confirmed by the stagehands union.

The Welsh-born star, who is soon to be seen in Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight, has already started shooting the first of those films, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.
“He’s really an actor’s actor, so we’re very proud,” said Victor Kubicek of film company Halcyon. Charlie’s Angels director McG is directing the new film, which is due to be released on 22 May 2009.

Florence, the home of many of the world’s greatest art, is where I was inspired by the philosophy of Michelangelo. He saw a soul in the block of marble, and felt that it was his duty to liberate it for the world to see. My 11-year-old daughter, Alex, a gifted artist in her own right, understood this artistic sense of duty.

“American Idol” host and executive producer of the abominations that are the Denise Richards and Dina Lohan reality shows, Ryan Seacrest, suffered a minor shark bite over the weekend. The uber-annoying Seacrest discussed the incident on his radio show. It was a minor bite and Ryan will live to carry on his world tour of aggravation and bad taste.

Lindsay Lohan has only been the set of her new movie Labor Pains for a week, but so far she's earned high marks for professionalism as she gets her film career back on track.
"We were a little bit reluctant to work with her," Lati Grobman, one of the producers, tells PEOPLE. "But she's been amazing."

The “SexyBack” crooner is helming a reality series for MTV billed as a "real life Bourne Identity” called The Phone, the network announced Friday.
Each episode beings with two hidden cell phones ringing on opposite ends of a major city.
