Smoky-Flavored Barbequed Ribs straight out of Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Cookbook
3 1/2 lbs pork loin back ribs (we've used other varieties as well, and they're just as tasty)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
3 tbsps. liquid smoke (we used hickory flavored)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup cola (we used regular Coca-Cola)
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce (spicy is what I prefer)

Yesterday, my husband and I spent the day at home, recovering from a late Sunday night wedding that lasted until the wee hours of the day.
Much fun. Tiring, but fun.

Ok so the last thing i want to do in the summer time is heat up the house with the oven so I got a little adventurous and started using the slow cooker instead. Today I made theeeeeeeeee easiest and most delicious short ribs that are falling off the bone.
Recipe
2 pounds of short ribs
1 16 oz can of beef gravy
1 packet of gravy mix
2 Large onions chopped
5 cloves garlic smashed
cup of flour
2 tablespoons oil
Method:
Sprinkle salt and pepper on ribs and sledge them through the flour
add oil to frying pan and bring to a high heat
working in batches fry all the ribs both sides
in a bowl mix the gravy mix into the the jarred gravy til well blended
place ribs into slow cooker and cover with the onions and garlic
pour gravy mixture over all
put on high heat for 4-6 hours
serve over ready made mashies and a nice salad or green beans
YUM O yummy yummy

The boy's parents gave us a TON of meat to bring home with us this weekend, including some ribs. Yay!
We've never cooked them before, though.

You can always rely on Burlington Coat Factory for great coats-even designer coats-for a lot less than department store prices. And the wide selection is always a plus. Last weekend I saw this down filled “Chevron Puffer Coat with Faux Fur Trim” by London Fog and was surprised at the price-originally $150, it was now only $70!

If you want to look like your favorite Gossip Girl, you’ll definitely need some colored tights in your life! This season it’s all about throwing on some color to jazz up any outfit. And now that the holidays are rolling around, why not try a fun red pair (like my girl Blair Waldorf, below)?
