I found this picture a couple of days ago in my iPhoto and thought I should post to it to Savory Sights. I was in Greece two years ago and came across a fishing boat with tons of octopus hung out like clothes. They dry the octopus and then eat it.

A friend is celebrating her birthday soon and she gave up sweets for Lent. I wanted to make her a little savory birthday treat that she could enjoy guilt-free. So I need some recipe-ideas!

This picture is kind of hard to see, but this might have been my husband's favorite dessert ever. We were having dinner at Châteaux de la Chèvre d'Or in Eze, France on our honeymoon. It was summertime so the restaurant was only serving berry type desserts, nothing with chocolate.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I love all the warm, savory dishes. This one has been in my family for years and it's sweet, creamy, and has a crunchy topping that reminds me of homemade mac and cheese. It's easy to prepare ahead of time, and is a great alternative to mashed potatoes or stuffing.

No, this is not a joke. A friend of mine introduced me this preposterous sounding dish and I could not help but love it. To be sure, there are some obstacles.

A simple quick light summer dish that's perfect for lunch. Part of this recipe can be made in advance. It's also great for dinner.
