Barbecue Chicken Sloppy Joes
These sandwiches are indeed sloppy. In fact, you may want to eat them with a knife and fork! Buy a large enough chicken for the 2 cups you'll need here, and the leftovers can be used in other chicken recipes.

Okay...we went old school last night for dinner. I thought, self, how long has it been since you last had a sloppy joe?? I couldn't answer.

With a Wink and a Smile
A citizen-politician runs for veep.
By Mark Steyn
Back in February, several political lifetimes ago, I was on the radio with Laura Ingraham and she played Stevie Wonder’s campaign song for Barack Obama, whose lyric, in its entirety, runs:
Ba-rack O-ba-ma
Ba-a-rack O-ba-a-ma
Ba-ra-ack Obama-a...
(Repeat until coronation.)
And Laura and I had a good laugh about it, until it occurred to me that, in politics as in pop, the tune is more important than the words.

The Obama enigma
By Victor Davis Hanson
Lame-duck Republican President Bush's dismal poll ratings have descended to those of Harry Truman's when he left office. The Democratic majority in Congress will probably widen after the election. Republican nominee John McCain has not run a dynamic campaign.

I know I posted about these in the past, but I can't find the old blog. No matter, because I just got a new batch of colors, so I'll post all of 'em.

Buzz's post today about TV moments that make her cry made me wonder what movies make me cry the most.
I don't know if these are necessarily my top five, but they certainly do make me cry my eyes out.
