Smart Girls Marry Money: How Women Have Been Duped Into the Romantic Dream--And How They're Paying For It (Hardcover)
A friend gave me a copy of this book a couple of months ago and I've been meaning to write a review for it for a while now. I would analyze why the hell she gave me this book but it's neither here nor there.
The synopsis of the book from the back cover:
"Why does society applaud a girl who falls for a guy's 'big blue eyes' yet denounces one who chooses a man with a 'big green bankroll'?

earlier creation - last year :)
“Smart women love smart men more than smart men love smart women.”
“A woman has got to love a bad man once or twice in her life, to be thankful for a good one”
“Love isn't finding a perfect person. It's seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”
“Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you I had no control over.”
“Love is when you're kept up all night thinking of him, and then when you fall asleep, you find him in your dreams.”
“On one issue, at least, men and women agree: they both distrust women”
“Most people have a harder time letting themselves love than finding someone to love them.”
“When a woman is talking to you, listen to what she says with her eyes”

Six years ago this month, a drifter named Brian David Mitchell allegedly kidnapped 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart at knifepoint from her Salt Lake City bedroom and held her captive for nine months.
Having rarely spoken about her ordeal in the five years since she was rescued on March 12, 2003, Smart – now 20 and a junior at Brigham Young University majoring in music performance – agreed to talk with PEOPLE about how she is doing because she feels her story can help other children who have survived abductions.
"I feel so fortunate that I was able to come through this unscarred.

Many people approaching retirement age find that memories fade and quick-wittedness flags. In pilot trials, its combination of dietary supplements boosted performance on simple mental tests by middle-aged and elderly adults.
