Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies
These are by Martha Stewart but I altered them a bit. They were sooo soft and YUMMY!
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest (I didn't do)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (I used almond)
1 cup unsalted butter, (2 sticks), softened
2 large eggs
Sanding sugar, for sprinkling

My 8 year daughter was recently given a gift from her friend called Yummy Dough. Last night we finally tried it. It is this great new product where kids can make their own dough, mix the colors and knead to form a molding dough which they can also bake and eat after. NEW YORK – Nestle USA on Friday voluntarily recalled its Toll House refrigerated cookie dough products after a number of illnesses were reported by those who ate the dough raw.
