Right-wing women rock
Looking at the shoes tells a lot about a female's political persuasion
By IAN ROBINSON
The recent election of Danielle Smith as leader of the Wildrose Alliance reminded me that among the many things I love about the libertarian/right wing are the women.
Could be our slogan: Come for the culture war ...

For most Americans, Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer. But this year it also means the return of Congress to Washington, D.C., after one of the most harrowing recesses even the most senior of the legislators can ever recall.
A lot of voters are in a bad mood over the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats, and they’ve been letting their elected officials know about it.

WASHINGTON – Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday the massive stimulus bill backed by President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats could go down to defeat if it's not stripped of unnecessary spending and focused more on housing issues and tax cut.
The Senate version of the bill, which topped out at nearly $900 billion, is headed to the floor for debate. The House bill totaled about $819 billion and earned no Republican votes, even though it easily passed the Democratic-controlled House.

During last year's epic election campaign, Hillary Clinton said that in the White House "there is no time for on-the-job training". Joe Biden, too, remarked that the presidency was "not something that lends itself to on-the-job training".

year's Super Bowl hero Eli Manning and his fiancée, Ally McGrew, are reportedly planning a super private wedding this weekend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
"It will be small, just friends and family," a friend of the New York Giants quarterback is quoted as telling New York's Daily News.
The paper says the couple are due to fly to Mexico Thursday, in anticipation of their Saturday event at the One&Only Palmilla resort – whose Web site says of the plush oasis: "The purity and beauty throughout the grounds of One&Only Palmilla allows for a variety of intimate celebration venues."

On Saturday night I was catering a dinner party that my mom was hosting. She doesn't cook so I was doing it all on Saturday. I wanted to make the chocolate puds I saw featured here but I was in a rush to get the groceries when I realized I would have to convert the measurements.

"Sex and the City" and Its Lasting Female Appeal

WHEN it comes to products helping to promote the coming film based on the popular TV series “Sex and the City,” it seems the sky is the limit.
Advertising: Accounts, People, Miscellany (March 17, 2008) Better make that the Skyy is the limit, as in Skyy vodka, which is being named the “official spirits sponsor” for the movie. Among the tie-ins are drinks made with Skyy to be served at Houlihan’s restaurants and named after characters like Carrie, Samantha and Mr. Big.

I've been trying to incorporate more fish into my dinner time plans (I've heard it's good for migraines, plus just plain good for you), so last night I decided to take a different approach in how to cook it. Lately, I've been all about salmon, but we've just been marinating it overnight and then grilling it. Which, by the way, is delicious and quick, but still, I wanted something a little different and where I'm less likely to burn myself.
