During the tsunami of bicentennial celebrations of Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday in February, I visited the fringes of evolutionary skepticism to better understand how one of science’s grandest theories could still be doubted.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in Bristol, England, is run by a kindly gentleman named Anthony Bush, who insisted that I not confuse him with those “loony American creationists” who think that Earth is only 6,000 years old. “How old do you think it is?” I queried.

Its hard to find a really great, healthy dish! I was searching for something really good, and I found this Ellie Krieger recipe on Foodnetwork.com. Tried it last night, and it was delicious!

Mitch Hedberg is my favorite comedian of all time. His style (random non-sequiturs) reminded me of old-school Stephen Wright.
Hedberg sadly died in March of 2005 of a drug overdose.

Well as you know i love to cook and its starting to get chilly here in NY it is time to bust out the savory Sunday Dinners
Todays Menu:
Garlic and Onion Braised Roast Beef
homemade mashed potatoes
Creamed corn
Creamed Cucumbers
String Beans
and Red beats.
yummy
roast recipe
1/4 cup olive oil
1 (3-pound) boneless beef chuck roast, patted dry
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup chopped pancetta or bacon
2 cups chopped yellow onions
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 1/2 bottles Barolo, or other dry Piedmont red wine, such as Dolcetto or Barbera
2 to 4 cups beef stock
2 sprigs rosemary
2 bay leaves
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
In a large Dutch oven, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper.
