ACORN: A Cautionary Tale
When is thievery not a crime but a personal tragedy? When is lying for personal gain or political expedience a mere error in judgment? The answer is obvious to any partisan.

And here's what our kitchen looks like now!!
The total cost of my redo was about $20. I spent ~$10 on a 5 gallon bucket of joint compound, and then bought two gallon cans of "oops" paint for $5 each at Home Depot.

There was a time when we would have called it a scandal.
In 1921, oil tycoon Harry Sinclair gave several prize head of cattle and around $269,000 to President Harding's Secretary of the Interior, Albert Fall. In return, Sinclair got the exclusive rights to drill in an oil field in Wyoming.

Jones’ boat successfully took the southern fort, but a second boat, assigned to attack to the northern fort, returned to the Ranger without having done so, claiming to have been scared off by a strange noise.

While our challenge has largely fallen on deaf ears — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, could shut down the earmark process tomorrow if she wanted to — our cause has a strong ally in Sen. John McCain.

Well, last night I was boiling a pot of water for tea (I don't know why I don't have a teapot or why I can never to remember to buy one when I am at the store), I logged online & completely forgot about the water... about 45 minutes later I strolled into the kitchen & just about had a heart attack - there was my small saucepan melting onto the burner! Naturally I grabbed it & the bottom of it started dripping off & landing on my tile floor (yes it left burn marks) - and there is still silver melted on my stove (which I just bought since my condo is on the market).
