Look of the Day: Delicate in Lace

Fanfan1404 looked so delicate in lace as she headed to the opera. I admire that her dress isn't just any old LBD. The lace detail on the neckline is to die for, and the streamlined silhouette is sexy. Sheer tights, peep-toes, and a black clutch serve as sassy accompaniments. Hope you had fun!

Denim Spring Collection For All

Denim and Navy are the highlights of the Spring Collection this time as are the indications from the Burberry Collection this Spring. Denim hues are blue and darker complemented with brighter colors that are flowing very much in the spirit of the season. Inspired by the spring flower Tulip the cut is skinny through the calf and flares out at the bottom along with Vermont Vests and Brigid Tops.
The Tomboy Jeans is getting a new twist. The look is Vintage with mass produced as well as designer Denims is Vintage and rugged. Ripped Jeans it seems are here to stay as are cuts with dramatic ankles as well as fitted Denim Boleros. Siwy, See by Chloe and Rock Revival all have such examples in their collections. A few softer cuts and lines can be found in True Religion and Genetic Denim, which has come out with particular stylized versions of the Tomboy Jeans, Daisy Dukes and Shorts called the James, The Billy, The Ryder and Shane among others.
Flares are not too wide just enough to emphasis he waist, embellishments are few and mostly diamante and hat too only in a few brands namely Levi’s, SVCA and Stresis. Low waists are only for men that too loose and rugged. The durability and comfort of Denim as a fabric is extremely crucial in it’s consistent popularity and demand.
The Denim spring collection is filled with the tie and dye look, not to worry these are not hippy inspired multi colored creation they are exceptionally designed pieces of denim with patterns that look more like they are from Rorschach test also known as inkblot test. The Target group is the younger customer and the accessories all denim are also aimed at them.
The late 80’s, classic rock is falling and the androgynous and unkempt appearance, minimalist styles are rising pieces include classic open end denim, vintage influenced Americana, such as Native American patterns, cowboy shirts and more. Emphasizing a cruelty-free approach, all pieces are made of natural fabrics. The fashion has become anti-fashion. Generation X screams its motto “it’s cool to be not cool.”

Dirty Boots

Here are my pretty clunky dirty new look boots! I loved them from the second I laid eyes on them, but they were out of my price range at 70 euros. Ok, not that expensive, but I’d already bought myself a new pair of sensible boots for the winter, and these are grey. Grey doesn’t go with everything like black does! I talked myself out of buying them, but I couldn’t forget those cool, tough boots that reminded me of my teenage years. Last week I swing into new look to look for those adorable heart-cut out dresses, and what do I spy with my little eye? These amazing boots, marked down to 35 euros! This surely had to be a sign from above and therefore it would be SINFUL not to get them. I talked myself into buying them. And here they are, and I love em so! They are way cooler than black boots. The vest I bought a year ago for 10 euros at Zara, and it makes djangling sounds when I move. I love clothes that make sounds! boots: new look dress: h&m vest: zara bracelet: COS

I love the sound of breaking glass

I was inspired by this look I found on the internet when I put this outfit together, quite like how it turned out! I’ve always been a fan of overknee socks and this look gives them something sweet and girly instead of that typical naughty schoolgirl thing. We watched This Is England yesterday, one of those movies we never took home from the rental place because the cover looked kind of cheesy(I can be superficial like that), but it’s a very beautiful film in the genre of American History X and I can recommend it to you all! The weather is finally clearing up, we’re expecting 15° celsius by the end of this week and that sounds like spring to me! Tiger Woods: I Was Living a Lie

Tiger Woods granted his first interview since his November car crash – and subsequent sex scandal – admitting that he has "done some pretty bad things" in [his] life and that he was "a little nervous" about his upcoming return to professional golf in April. "I was living a life of a lie, I really was," a sober-sounding Woods told ESPN at Isleworth, a golf club near his Windermere, Fla., home. The five-minute interview aired Sunday night during SportsCenter. He also gave five minutes to the Golf Channel. "Stripping away denial and rationalization you start coming to the truth of who you really are and that can be very ugly," he said.Part of the recovery process was acknowledging his indiscretions both to his family and to the public. On Feb. 19, Woods appeared at press conference during which he apologized for his behavior during a 13-minute speech. "My real apology will not come in the form of words, but my behavior over time," he said at the time. During Sunday's interview, the golfer said making that public statement has ultimately given him strength. "When you face it and you start conquering it and you start living up to it, the strength that I feel now, I've never felt that type of strength," Woods said.

The Low Points

Apologizing to his wife Elin and mother Kultida about his multiple affairs was one of the "low points" for Woods. "I hurt them the most," he said Sunday. "Those are the two people in my life who I'm closest to – and to say the things that I've done truthfully to them was very painful." As for Elin's reaction, Woods said, "She was hurt. Very hurt. Shocked and angry – and she had every right to be." Woods also confirmed that he sought treatment at a clinic from Dec. 31 through Feb. 11, and that he underwent family counseling for a week in following his public statement in February. He did not, however, specify the type of treatment he was receiving. "It was really tough to look at yourself in a light you never want to look at yourself," Woods said. "That's pretty brutal."

'I Didn't Know'

But why not seek help sooner? Said Woods: "I didn't know I was that bad." Regarding the fact that he had multiple affairs, Woods said, "just one is enough." Recently, the scandal-ridden golfer confirmed he would be returning to competitive golf at the Masters tournament in Augusta, Ga., on April 8. "I'm a little nervous about that, to be honest with you. It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there," Woods said. "[But] I'm excited to get back and play, I'm excited to get to see the guys again," Woods said. "I really missed a lot of my friends out there. I miss competing. But still, I still have a lot more treatment to do, and just because I'm playing, doesn't mean [I will] stop going to treatment."

Surmises Father's Reaction

In his comments to the Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman, Woods said that, despite reports to the contrary, his inner circle was not aware of his misdoings – "I kept it all to myself" – and that he is not yet finished with therapy. "As far as my schedule going forward," he said. "I don't know what I'm going to do. What I know I have to do is become a better person, and that begins with more treatment." Asked how his late mentor and father Earl might have reacted to what has come to light over the past four months, Woods said, "He'd be very disappointed in me. We would have numerous long talks. And that's one of the things I miss – I miss his guidance." Surmising what Earl Woods might say, his son said: "Can't say it on air, but he would have been very direct and basically say, 'You need to get your life headed in the right direction again.'
