A Glimpse Into a Gourmet Bug Tasting
It's one thing to say you'll try any sort of food, but another entirely to truly follow through on your promise. That's why, right before an eight-course gourmet bug tasting this week, I started bugging out over it. If I screamed when I saw insects in my apartment, how was I going to bring myself to eat them?

My 8 year daughter was recently given a gift from her friend called Yummy Dough. Last night we finally tried it. It is this great new product where kids can make their own dough, mix the colors and knead to form a molding dough which they can also bake and eat after. Growing up my mom would make home made creamed corn on holidays or special occasions. She would cut the tips of the fresh corn then scrape the remainder into a bowl. Just to get a bowl full for a meal, she would have to use about 30 ears of corn.
