Yard-long beans, or asparagus beans, are at the peak of their season right now, which runs from late Summer to early Fall, with the exception of places such as California and Mexico where they grow year-round. On birthdays (and half birthdays), I like to make my favorite foods, thus for my half-birthday housewarming, I plan on serving a spread of delectable Italian bites. But since it's hard to remember how much you need of each nutrient, and how much of each food helps you obtain it, I made a handy little chart to help us all meet the recommended daily intake (RDI) of many vitamins and minerals.

Is it me or are you confused about how much of each vitamin and mineral you are supposed to get each day?
Some of my friends take daily vitamins, and some eat fortified foods like calcium-enriched orange juice. It that necessary, or do we get enough in the foods we eat?
