One of my all time favorite movies is Troop Beverly Hills starring Shelly Long. In the film, she makes camping utterly glamorous with her fabulous tents and fashionable safari ware. With the right sort of decorations, you too can turn your campsite into a lush playground like Phyllis Nefler did.

In my opinion, camping trips should always involve a lot of alcoholic beverages. For the gourmet-like menu that you'll be enjoying over the weekend, lots of beer, wine, soda, and water (sparkling and still) will be necessary. To chill all of these beverages you will need several coolers with lots of ice so be sure to delegate.

Although I'm no camper, I promised a friend I would help her plan a camping getaway for her boyfriend and a few other couples. They are going for the weekend, Friday afternoon to Sunday night, and I am organizing all the details before they leave. She called me up at the last minute and I threw together a quick invitation.

A few weeks ago Starbucks sent us a sample of VIA, its new instant coffee. Being a bit of a coffee snob I was kind of grossed out but decided to try it on my upcoming climbing trip anyway.
The best thing VIA has going for it is its size — it's small.

Everyone loves a vacation, right? Beautiful scenery, tropical drinks, fun in the sun. Add a few of your closest friends and you could have the trip of a lifetime — or a romantic getaway gone horribly awry.

For their Milan Fashion Week show, twins Dean and Dan Caten took "glamping," or glam camping, as the theme at their Dsquared show. While the looks were very pretty, real glamorous camping obviously involves having a $200,000 RV and several makeup and hair professionals along on your trip, making it about as real as unicorn tears for anyone who's ever actually been camping. The glamping look, which consists of glossy pink lips, casually braided hair that only looks messy, and glowing skin, has very little do do with the chapped lips, dirty hair, and oily skin that usually come along with the camping experience.
