I love the funky shapes, colors, and textures of Fall gourds. Clustered in a bowl, or stacked in a tall vase, they make a great centerpiece in lieu of flowers. Do you regularly buy them for Fall decorating?

One of the most beautiful weddings I've ever attended used succulents as centerpieces at the reception. The unusual plants were nestled in small colored glass votives that were laden with pretty, tiny pebbles. Would you use succulents as centerpieces at a wedding or a party?

To get the look of Fall on your coffee table, dining room table, or fireplace mantel, try this tip from Real Simple. Simply clip some pretty turning leaves from trees in your yard. The leaves should have a bit of stiffness to them, so they can stand up on their own.

The table setting on my kitchen table changes with the seasons (and sometimes my mood!). It's easy to update your table's look by getting a new set of placemats. I have hosted quite a few impromptu dinner parties lately and my winter set is starting to show wear (oil/wine stains, etc) and tear, so I asked you to help me find a new tablescape.

Every now and then I like to let my competitive streak run wild by participating in a contest. As long as you remember that the contest is in good fun, there is nothing to lose and only things to gain. This week I was thinking about entering a centerpiece of the month contest.
