The majority of you love your slow cookers, but many commented that you don't like a bunch of preparation before hand. While I understand the ease of throwing everything into a pot and letting it cook, just 20 minutes of effort can take a dish from just OK to truly scrumptious. That is the case for this slow cooker Cuban chicken; it requires browning, but it greatly enhances the dish.

When I'm on the road and in need of quick meal, I sometimes stop at Moe's Southwest Grill. It's like a Mexican version of Subway — you pick a type of burrito, taco, fajita, salad, or quesadilla, and then you choose exactly what goes in it (and you can watch them make it too). They use fresh veggies, but they don't use lard.

While it's true that airlines have recently expanded their food offerings, the airport still dominates the market when it comes to travel meals. But — like Party and I witnessed during last year's trip to Aspen — airport food often falls incredibly flat. During recent travels, I experienced something similar when I ordered what I expected to be a taco salad, only to be greeted by a heaping pile of white rice, stringy chicken, overcooked corn, and wilted cilantro.

Going out for a nice dinner doesn't mean you can't have a healthy meal. Many restaurants are amenable to diners' needs, and you can make sure your plate is full of foods you want and need to eat.
Fish, chicken or meat dishes are usually served on an enormous portion or rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.

We can prepare for some crazy work days, while others sneak up on us like a bad dream. The effects that stress can have on our bodies isn't pretty: From neck and shoulder tension to sleep problems, and accelerated blood pressure, it would do a world of good to try and reduce the amount of stress in our lives when possible.
When you're approaching a day that you know will be filled with more obstacles than most, pack a lunch that could help you fight the overwhelming stress.

I've said my piece about how frustrating it is to me that eating healthy and organically can be so darn expensive, but it doesn't always have to be that way. MSN has created a seven day meal plan on eating organically for seven dollars a day. While it's not the most colorful and exciting diet you'll ever find, it's cheap and healthy.
