Chocolate fudge is my mom's all-time favorite holiday sweet. She's not much of a cook, so we usually make it together. It's an excellent dessert to make with loved ones because the final result is decadently rewarding.

When planning a party, remember the guest of honor's culinary needs. Although Ronda's bachelorette party has a belly-dancing theme and a spread of Mediterranean-inspired appetizers, she's requested that the dessert be something bite sized and chocolaty. When I was in college, I had a serious Pop-Tarts weakness, though I don't let myself indulge in them anymore. However, I'll admit I was excited to try Fiber One's version, which isn't low-cal or really "healthy," but at least they're high in fiber! And who doesn't love fiber right?

I must admit: I'm not the world's biggest fan of cheesecake, it's always seemed a bit too rich. But I'm obsessed with red velvet cake, and was intrigued when I first heard about red velvet cheesecake. I put it on my list of things to make and before I could get to it, The Cheesecake Factory came out with a version and sent one our way — along with a couple others.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! When youngsters hear that jingle far off in the distance announcing the ice cream truck's impending arrival, they screech for joy and run to their parents begging for cash and permission. On a hot day, many parents will be hard pressed to deny their child the joy of an orange Push-Up, a chocolate Chip-Wich, or a banana and fudge flavored Bullet.

While planning a Father's Day menu, the most important thing to do is ask dad what he wants. The day will be more special if you involve him in the process. Since my dad is a fan of no-fuss classic cuisine, I originally thought to serve him homemade vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge sauce for dessert.
