With the forthcoming arrival of my favorite season of the year (summer) I'm getting ready to spend a lot of time over at my grandfather Al's house. He has an amazing pool and a fabulous kitchen to cook in: it's super open, always clean, and has two ovens. However when I go to clean up after cooking, he never has any nice dishtowels - which can be mildly frustrating.

During the spring and summer, my mom and I like to go over to my grandfather Al's house to tan and swim in his pool. He lives in the East Bay and often times it is 10-15°F warmer at his house than it is at ours. When we head over to Al's house, we stop at the store for the fixings for a lovely dinner.

I haven't had clean dishtowels in weeks. I'm rarely home and when I'm in my apartment, I always find time to cook, but never have several free hours to do the laundry. Thus I've decided to purchase a new set of dish towels and I asked you to help me find them.

- It's no secret, I love (make that LUUURRVE) aprons. This apron is made from one dishtowel, granted it's not going to fit me, but how darn cute is it? - I Have To Say via Craft
- I need to get my hands on one of these.

Featured in O at Home magazine, these gloves ($15) might just make your dish-drying chore time faster (though probably not in my house, since I let everything air dry). Made of absorbent red or white terrycloth, one size fits all and they have waterproof linings.

I try as often as possible to use cloth dishtowels instead of paper towels. But while dishtowels are great for drying my hands, they often get too damp to dry my dishes sufficiently. That's why I can't wait to try the Twist Euro Cloth #20, which is described as a cross between a super-absorbent sponge and a lightweight paper towel.
