Last Halloween I went all out and hosted a huge blowout bash complete with geometric pumpkins and a dangerously delicious punch. This year everyone is expecting me to host another big party, so I'm doing the unexpected and hosting an intimate Halloween-themed dinner for 12 lucky guests! Everything about the event from the invites to the food will be Halloween related.

Event planner Peacock Feathers created this very over-the-top dinner table décor for a Halloween party. Not only does the pink and purple palette strike me as unusual, but it also seems uncommon to host a formal dinner party for Halloween. I do think any occasion to host a party is a good one, but I've never been to a Halloween dinner party.

After covering her face in inventive makeup for Halloween at the weekend, Lily Allen gave her skin a break and went for the natural look as she enjoyed dinner at the Ivy in London last night. She wasn't smiling, perhaps due to Joss Stone's comments about her. In response to Lily's stand on making internet file sharing a criminal offense, Joss says music should be shared for free whenever possible, and said Lily "needs to sell records because she's not a singer, and that's not an offense to her because I think that she knows that too."

Sure kids adore the costume aspect of Halloween but the number one reason why wee ones look forward to the ghoulish holiday? The hunt for candy. Chocolate bars, candy corn, and bags of Skittles can make a youngster hopelessly in love with sugar but leave their pearly whites in pain.

Britney Spears carried Jayden James out after dinner with both her sons in Calabasas on Friday night. Last week it was their dad Kevin Federline who brought SP and JJ to visit the pumpkin patch before Halloween as they evenly divide their time with both their parents. In the past Britney hit up some of the big costume parties in Hollywood, but so far it looks like the family laid low perhaps with some local trick-or-treating.
