Though good ol' Joe is technically an Independent, if this announcement is any indication of his future intentions and he starts caucusing with the Republicans, it would mean that the Senate is balanced 50 votes to 50 (because the other Independent, Bernie Sanders, hangs with the Dems) and Dick Cheney would be the deciding vote in the Senate!

Okay, usually when articles clock in the thousands of words, I...start skimming? That did not happen with this exclusive interview with John McCain's Navy son Jack. Scout.com sat down this week with the hopeful first son, and talked about everything from girls to demerits.

In the interest of follow up, public service, and the distinct possibility that these videos are actually brilliant, befuddling yet sublime, works of avant-garde art, I now present, "Here Comes McCain" again.
Oh, dear. I'm sure this was what The Eurythmics were really going for all this time.

It's a wild mosaic of McCain coverage out there, from the very, very good, to the decidedly the other direction — a sort of salad bar of political opinion on the Maverick.
