While there are kitchen gadgets that are totally helpful and necessary — the food processor, a mixer — sometimes it seems like there are more random kitchen gadgets than essential ones. There are so many useless tools that we have an entire feature devoted to them. Not to mention the Yum Market on TeamSugar is jam-packed with kitchen contraptions.

A couple of weeks ago, I called a peanut butter and jelly spreader totally useless. However, many of you thought it was quite useful and admitted to wanting one. When I came across this batter finger — a tool that helps you lick batter from a bowl without getting your finger dirty — I immediately thought of the pb&j spreader.

I found this Mouse Cheese Knife and Swiss Cheese Spreader Set ($15.95) to be absolutely adorable, yet I know a lot of folks freak out over the concept of rodents in their kitchen. So you tell me, would you use these in your house?

If you are a daily mascara user, there's something you should know. Each time you stroke mascara onto your lashes the applicator picks up lots of bacteria that are resting there - then you put it back into a nice, dark, warm tube where they breed. Lovely.

Everyone in my office has Instant Messenger. The other day I was IMing with a co-worker of mine about a very juicy rumor that I had heard. Apparently, the VP of our company was caught making out (cheating on his wife no less) with our manager Megan.
