Making a quick fix strawberry shortcake is as simple as layering angel food cake (which they conveniently place next to the strawberries), strawberries, and cool whip to create a super easy, rapid dessert. However, if you have the time and patience, I highly recommend making your own homemade version. Doughy warm shortcakes with juicy strawberries and a fluffy whipped cream will instantly melt in your mouth for a show-stopping, unbelievably delicious dessert.

I know it's still a few weekends away, but I'm a planner and not a procrastinator, and I've already got Easter dinner on my mind. It works well as an appetizer, but I like to chop it up, lightly sauté it and serve it as a vegetable component to round out a meat and potatoes menu.

The stars of Heroes were out in their Springtime best last night to celebrate the show being back on air after a hiatus (and what an exciting episode it was). Noticeably absent from both the show and the party was Hayden's character Claire's BFF, Zach. Apparently he was written off Heroes when his manager had a fit over the character of Zach being gay.

When I came across this Carol's Daughter recipe for an at-home hand softener, I immediately headed for the kitchen to test it out. I didn't have all of the ingredients (like coconut oil) so I substituted it, but the end result was softer, smoother and definitely more vibrant skin. I just love that these easy treatments won't take up much of your time, but they instantly make you feel pampered.

This week Mexico's top electoral body has ordered broadcasters to stop showing a TV ad that compares a firebrand leftist leading a shut down of Congress to dictators Hitler and Pinochet. The ad is funded by a Mexican businessman angry at the blockade spurred by opposition lawmakers trying to derail an oil reform plan. He says the actions of protest leader Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador are endangering democracy, "Who shuts congresses?
