Thanksgiving leftovers can sometimes be too much of a good thing. Tons of turkey meat and side dishes can be great, but not if they mean eating uninspired leftovers with monotonous flavors. Thankfully, there's loads you can do with leftovers beyond pot pie, sandwiches, and chili.

So for something lighter, make a salad with plenty of fresh vegetables topped with cubed or sliced leftover turkey.

That said, I've decided to cheat a little bit on this week's baking project. I wanted to figure out a way to use all the turkey leftovers, without causing a lot of work.

Of course we're going to enjoy the traditional treats on Thanksgiving, indulging in a piece of pumpkin pie and savoring our family's special stuffing. Selecting one piece of pie and refraining from returning for a second helping of that stuffing is the way to walk away from the meal without guilt. Subsisting on Thanksgiving leftovers for the week that follows is what causes the holiday pounds, so prevent holiday-related weight gain by ditching the high-calorie culprits.
