Last night Weeds said goodbye to season five with another classic cliffhanger, and as usual I can't believe I'll have to wait a year to see the aftermath. The show has had its up and downs, but it has never failed to make my jaw drop come finale time. Over the years there have been some truly shocking episodes, but which Weeds season finale is your favorite?

This pretty roadside weed is in full bloom right now in many parts of the country. Can you tell me its name?

New mamas face plenty of unsolicited advice as they begin navigating life with their newborn. From day one there are opinions about rooming in during your hospital stay, vaccination schedules and breast versus bottle feeding. Assuming you are secure in your feeding decision, it may take some time to convince family and friends about the choice you made.

Recently on Weeds, Alanis Morissette joined Justin Kirk for a conversation near a Ms. Pac-Man arcade game.
It's a funny photo, so thanks for all of your suggestions in this week's Caption It challenge!

In the past season of Weeds, the Botwins moved from their gated community of Agrestic, CA, to a beach town on the border of California and Mexico. Hunkering down in Nancy's mother-in-law's house, the family set about remaking their lives. The grandma-style design of this house delighted me last season.

The first three seasons of Weeds had a fairly simple story: suburban mom starts dealing pot after her husband's death to keep her kids living nice lives in their comfortable McMansion. But starting with season four, the show blew up that formula completely, leaving behind the boring subdivision and moving the Botwin family to the Mexican border, where many of their old Agrestic associates have now relocated as well.
I still miss some of what Weeds left behind in Agrestic — Conrad and Heylia, mostly — but the show did pick up a new sense of urgency and danger when it moved closer to the heart of a Mexican drug ring.

Weeds' Nancy Botwin recently proved she has no respect for the Zune and I got to thinking about how the hemp-loving hippie chick could better integrate technology into her wacky world of coffee drinking and living on the edge in Suburbia.
Nancy's son Shane has been geeking out with his Mac and security systems since he was a tot, but Nancy seems to be stuck in a technology rut. She drives a Prius with built-in Bluetooth, but her cell phone looks like the clunky flip phone I had before college.

On last night's Weeds Nancy's youngest son Shane jacks an assortment of oddball items from his teacher after the teacher fails to pay for a giant stash of illegal green stuff. Amid the pirated booty is a Theremin, an electronic instrument that dates back to the '20s, and a Microsoft Zune (note: it looks more like an iPod Nano onscreen, but I'll stick with the script). The Zune has long struggled to make it in the iPod-obsessed world, but it was still a shock to see Nancy drop the swiped device into a creamy cup of frozen yogurt without any hesitation.
