Ben Affleck continued with his scheduled daddy duties yesterday afternoon as he picked up Violet from school in LA. The pair were carrying a handful of Get Well Soon balloons, and had a few laughs as they loaded up the car. Jennifer has been taking a break from carpool duty for the past few days while Ben is back in town from Boston, so hopefully, the entire family can relax over the upcoming long holiday weekend.

Ben Affleck Picks Up All the Habits of Home

Ben Affleck sported a Patriots sweatshirt as he took over Violet's school run duty from Jennifer Garner yesterday morning. While she was in class, he ran errands and picked up a few goodies from Barnes & Noble - perhaps getting a head start on his holiday shopping? Ben was right on time later in the afternoon when he up picked Violet and headed home for the day. He recently arrived back in California for a fun weekend with Violet, Jennifer and Seraphina after a few months in Boston working on The Town. We saw lots of Ben wearing different uniforms while on set in Massachusetts, but it looks like he's already eased back into a more casual and comfortable style at home.

Ben Affleck Heads West to Join His California Girls

Ben Affleck was back home in LA on Saturday morning after spending months in Boston working on The Town. He had stuck around the East Coast for a few weeks longer than Jennifer and their daughters, who headed back to LA for Violet to go to school. Ben was off taking care of other business that afternoon, when Jennifer treated Violet to ice cream. It was Seraphina's turn for fun with mom by the evening, when Jennifer took her to a friend's party. Ben and Violet then went on to share some special father-daughter time last night, when they headed out to grab dinner and she emerged with a face adorably covered in spaghetti sauce.

Movie Preview: Ben Stiller Plays It Straight in Greenberg

I have a love/hate relationship with Ben Stiller movies. Over the years, I've grown tired of seeing him in the same everyman role again and again (with a few exceptions, like There's Something About Mary), but every now and then he throws a curve ball that pulls me back in. Greenberg already looks like one of the latter films.

The upcoming indie movie from The Squid and the Whale director Noah Baumbach follows Roger Greenberg, a middle-aged New Yorker who heads to LA and decides to "do nothing" in an attempt to figure out his life. The movie looks like it could be a tearjerker, but maybe that's just because LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends" is playing in the background. (The band's James Murphy lends a few new songs to the movie). Rhys Ifans is Roger's best friend while Greta Gerwig is the woman he befriends and beds. Ben Takes the Town While His Girls Have Fun in the City

Violet Affleck was full of energy after another day of school in LA yesterday. Mom Jennifer Garner was right behind, with her hands full of Violet's many accessories. Later in the afternoon, Jen was off taking care of some business while Violet and Seraphina took a walk with their nanny. Violet was still looking enthusiastic, as she kept pace alongside Seraphina.

Ben, meanwhile, was still hard at work on The Town in Boston. He had Jon Hamm and Rebecca Hall for company, though, as they spent the afternoon filming around the city's financial district. Ben and his cast are back in Massachusetts after a recent trip to Connecticut, where they shot gambling scenes at the Mohegan Sun casino.

Owen Wilson Is One Foxy Little Focker

Wilson's upcoming face time in front of the camera in Stiller's latest Focker installment is a break from all his recent voice work. Ben Keeps Rolling in Boston While Jen Heads Back to LA

Ben Affleck kept warm in layers as he continued to film The Town in Boston yesterday. His costar Rebecca Hall was slightly luckier, as she worked indoors with Ben directing the scene from outside. Ben was able to enjoy lots of family time on set while his girls were in Massachusetts, but Jennifer and their daughters are back in LA. Violet's already returned to school, and Jennifer spent her afternoon yesterday shopping for flowers with baby Seraphina.

Colin Screens Dorian Gray While Ben Gets Shirtless

Colin Firth attended the screening of Dorian Gray at the Soho Hotel ahead of the film's release at our cinemas today. He was joined by his costars Rachel Hurd-Wood (who plays Sybil) and Ben Chaplin (who plays Basil), but Dorian himself Ben Barnes was missing from the screening. Ben has spoken about the role, however, and joked about the shirtless scenes: watch his interview after the jump. Hearing Ben talking about these particular scenes has made me even more excited to see the film: do you plan to see it or skip it?

British and Irish Manjoyment Comes to Toronto Film Festival

Lots of gorgeous men from our side of the pond travelled across the Atlantic to make an appearance at the Toronto Film Festival this weekend, following Dominic Cooper and Paul Bettany's lead from last week. Ewan McGregor and George Clooney continued their bromance promoting The Men Who Stare at Goats, and travelled from Venice Film Festival to Canada, as did Matt Damon and his wife Luciana. Cillian Murphy was joined Brendan Gleeson for the premiere of Perrier's Bounty, while Colin Farrell was on the promotional trail for Triage. Ben Whishaw was at the Festival for Bright Star, and Ben Barnes premiered Dorian Gray.
