Bento of the Week: Fall Leaves

This week's bento comes from Flickr user pantherathecat. I wanted to highlight it because I love its simplicity. For those that think they can't create bentos, this box really says you can. It's a simple layer of leftover beans and rice topped with leaf and acorn shaped slices of Colby-jack cheese. I hope you find inspiration in this lunch!

This week's bento comes from Makiko Itoh of Just Bento. Although she already runs Just Hungry, she's started a new site dedicated to bento. So far she's had a few how-tos, bento under 20 minutes, and a bunch of other great info including this guide to onigiri rice ball shapes. Be sure to check it out. This week's bento box comes from Bento Yum. It has super cute accouterments, but I love it because it shows that a bento box doesn't have to be an Asian meal. This time it's a Mexican meatloaf and a baked potato. I know I'd love to open my lunch box up to that!

I found this week's bento from the folks at Craft. They've discovered one of the most adorable Halloween edibles around. Created by Zakka Life, this Halloween Bento definitely puts me in a festive mood. I love the seaweed bats and lemon moon! So creative!

Introducing our new feature, bento of the week! Our first find comes from Flickr member Sakurako Kitsa. This bento is absolutely adorable, but be sure to check out her other dazzling creations too. This time her inspiration has come from a Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino. Love it!
