Next month, number one fast-food giant McDonald's will unveil a redesign of all its food products around the world. In what the corporation calls "the most comprehensive rollout in the brand's history," all 118 countries with McDonald's restaurants will launch new designs that advertise the chain's high-quality ingredients. The packaging, developed by UK marketing firm Boxer, draws attention to fresh ingredients and preparation: The new Big Mac box includes images of an onion, slices of cheese, a head of lettuce, and a freshly made hamburger, with the words "100 percent beef" and "all-beef patties" inscribed on the box.

Two things I love in a man: a British accent, and the ability to stuff an entire Big Mac in his mouth and swallow it in one bite. (The sad awesome thing is, I could totally do this, too!)

In 1988, McDonald's announced their plan to set up 20 golden arches in Moscow. This marked an end to a quiet 10 year-long discussion, and the first Moscow McD's opened that fall. When it did, the people of Moscow were able to plonk down 1% of their monthly salary in order to enjoy a Big Mac.

McDonald's famous burger, The Big Mac, turns 40 this year. Love it or hate it, the Big Mac has become a cultural force to be reckoned with. To celebrate the birthday of the hefty sandwich, I thought it would be fun to run a little quiz.

Since I am always talking about how gross fast food is and the oddity of the bigger burger, I thought you guys would find this photo montage entertaining.
Basically it is one guy's vision of the evolution of the McDonald's Big Mac and just how BIG it will become. With obesity rates rising and the recent prediction that 75 percent of Americans are going to be overweight by 2015, these images seem surprisingly fitting.

I think I need a hug. The last episode of Pushing Daisies is about as solid a finale as possible, considering that nobody knew it was a finale at the time. It has a story that brings most of the major characters together and a massive reveal at the end — and even the last-minute bit of closure seemed to fit.

Officially Graduate Fashion Week came to a close yesterday with the gala show awarding the brightest young talent. However, this morning, one of the most prestigious post graduate institutes, The Royal College of Art, presented their fashion MA collections. Christopher Bailey, Ossie Clark and Zandra Rhodes form part of this college's alumni, but judging by today's talent there is sure to be many more names joining them very soon.

Although I feel right at home surrounded by gadgets and technology, attending the WWDC made me realize that I was walking into a man's world. Making my way to the West Hall of the Moscone Center, I could see that the line outside was 99 percent XY chromosome, and only a spattering of ladies braved the gaggle of geeks alone.
Even though I was outnumbered, I could still find joy in the little things that happen when you get this many geeks together in one place.

If you're a fan of Apple products (like me!), you surely know that the Macintosh operating software comes with some fantastic feline names. My pal geek is at WWDC today and told me all about the latest Mac OS X v10.6, named after the big cat seen below. I've gathered all the kitties featured thus far, so see if you can match their names to the pictures in this quiz.
