Stars Go From the AMAs to the Lakers Game!

Jay-Z and Fergie both took the stage at the American Music Awards last night, but when their show duties were done, they were off to see the Lakers game! Fergie was joined by the rest of the Black Eyed Peas all still decked out from their performance. Loving Fergie's outfit? Find out where to get it here! Jay-Z looked super suave in his "Empire State of Mind" tuxedo while Alex Rodriguez joined in the fun, and they weren't the only stars at the game!

Stars Sparkle, Burn and Sing at the American Music Awards

The stars of last night's American Music Awards hit the red carpet before heading inside LA's Nokia Theatre for the main event. Janet Jackson kicked things off with an energetic eight minute performance, and the evening's first award then went to the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas went on to take the stage to do "Boom Boom Pow" with a special Nirvana twist. The show went on with performances from Carrie Underwood and Shakira, as well as from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys with "Empire State of Mind." Unfortunately not everyone stayed on their feet - both Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert took tumbles while singing.

There were other memorable performances, from Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and not to mention Whitney Houston's return to the stage before she received the International Award of Excellence. Jennifer Lopez had a beaming Marc Anthony in the crowd as she debuted her new single and showed off those customized Louboutins. Michael Jackson won multiple awards, and his brother Jermaine took the stage to accept the award on behalf of their family. Taylor Swift took home the most statues, though she wasn't there and the upset of the night might have to go to Gloriana who won breakthrough artist - make sure to check out the full list of winners. Kate Hudson joined her Nine costars Fergie and Nicole Kidman, though Kate did have a chance to share a special moment with Alex Rodriguez. TV Tonight: The American Music Awards

This has been a huge year for music so far: Taylor Swift has won every trophy imaginable, Whitney Houston is staging her comeback, and Michael Jackson is still topping the charts, even after his death. Perhaps that's why tonight's American Music Awards sounds even better than in the past - and I'll be at the show to bring you all of the exciting moments!

Let's go over what to expect from the evening. First off, the performances. There are so many big-name acts I honestly can't choose which is my favorite. Janet Jackson is opening the first eight minutes, but The Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Rihanna, and Carrie Underwood are taking the stage, too, among others. (I cannot wait to see what over-the-top spectacle Gaga has up her bedazzled sleeve!) As for the awards, everyone will be watching to see if Michael Jackson earns a posthumous statue; he's up for five categories, bested only by Taylor Swift who is in the running for six.

Heidi Klum Hits the Runway With the Angels at VS Show!

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show returned to New York City last night, where the girls stripped down to their lingerie despite the chilly weather outside. There were some playful moments throughout the show, but perhaps the biggest surprise was Heidi Klum. Just six weeks after giving birth to her daughter Lou, Heidi said she was hosting not walking for the event, but she still took to the catwalk in a sexy getup and strode the carpet in a tiny LBD. Fergie got into the spirit performing with the Black Eyed Peas on stage while models like Selita Ebanks, Miranda Kerr and Chanel Iman walked. Marissa Miller was the chosen one to wear the diamond studded bra this year.

On the red carpet, both Heidi and Fergie both showed off some leg on the famous pink carpet where they were joined by Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg. There were, naturally, some men out for the spectacle as well including Jay-Z, Dr. Dre and Jeremy Sisto. While Heidi was busy on the runway, the sixth season of Project Runway came to an end last night - check out the winner here!

2009 MTV EMA Nominations and Performers Announced!

Having already given us the shortlist for the Best UK & Ireland New Act category, MTV has now announced the full list of nominations for the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards. Tokio Hotel, Green Day and Leona Lewis are all confirmed to perform at the ceremony in Berlin on 5 November too. Lady GaGa and Kings of Leon lead the pack with five nominations each, while several of our British and Irish stars have nominations, including Robbie Williams, Coldplay, U2, La Roux, Pixie Lott, Little Boots and Leona Lewis. You can vote for your favourites and then see all the pictures and find out gossip from backstage when we cover the awards in November. Fergie Keeps It Short and Sweet

Fergie headed out to a LA recording studio in a black romper yesterday before getting fancy for an event with her band. She was in another short number at the launch party for her fellow Black Eyed Pea apl.de.ap's new record label, Jeepney Music. It's been a busy Summer for Fergie with all her work promoting their new album, but for now at least she can enjoy being at home with her husband Josh after his travels on behalf of Transformers 2.
