Today Party and I were talking about Summer stone fruits, and she remarked that she thought many of the season's fruit varieties had funny-sounding names that reminded her Gatorade flavors! I have to agree — some of the fruit names bear a striking resemblance to names that you might come across in the snack-food aisle. Beverage titan Coca-Cola, eager to improve flat sales of carbonated beverage Vault, is hoping to win over consumers with a campaign that employs a tried-and-true tactic: free drinks.
Although Pepsi-owned (and recently renamed) Mtn Dew carries as much as 80 percent of the market share for citrus soda, Coca-Cola's three-year-old citrus cooler Vault, with four percent of the market share, has fizzled with customers. Can you pick out the pet bag from the human tote? It's totally difficult, especially when popular brands make similar styles for you and your furry friends. Celebs seem to think nothing of dropping cash on collars and carriers that match labels they favor be it most likely real to possibly fake, and I can't judge because, if I had more cash, I'd probably pamper North with at least one pricey piece.
