The holidays are all about large extravagant meals full of tasty traditional foods that most of us are taking the opportunity to indulge in and enjoy.
If you do eat a large meal high in fat, the best thing to do for yourself and your arteries is to go for a 45-minute walk. Even if you've put counting calories on the back burner during the holidays, you should still try to keep your health in mind.

If you have a formal dining room, eat Christmas dinner there. If you don't, set up a table beside the glowing Christmas tree. Next, focus your attention on creating a beautiful table setting.

My elegant Christmas dinner calls for equally-sophisticated cocktails. I'll have distinct wine pairings for each course and one festive signature cocktail to get the night started right.
With the oysters and crab crostini, pour a sparkling Prosecco; it's a lovely and affordable varietal.

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy made their way to London for the UK premiere of A Christmas Carol yesterday. His Christmas Carol costars Colin Firth and Bob Hoskins brought along their families, while Director Robert Zemeckis was on hand to premiere his 3D twist on the classic tale. Jenny kept warm in a red coat as Jim showed off his many faces with a group of carolers, then later the pair grabbed dinner before changing into something comfy for an early morning flight to Germany.

Looking for an informal yet celebratory reason to entertain this season? Hold a get together where you make a comforting dinner and watch your dearest holiday special/movie/television show. The original cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my choice for this party, but BuzzSugar has a list of other holiday classics and holiday-ish films for you to choose from.
