Christmas Comes Early to London With Premiere and Lights

Stars of A Christmas Carol Jim Carrey, Colin Firth and Bob Hoskins literally lit up London last night at the world premiere of the film, which they combined with turning on the capital's Christmas lights! They were joined by Jenny McCarthy in a Holiday season appropriate red coat, as well as The Saturdays and The X Factor contestants, who were more popular than the film stars! Olly Murs, Joe McElderry, Danyl Johnson, Jamie Archer, Lloyd Daniels and John and Edward Grimes looked smart in their suits, while Stacey Solomon and Lucie Jones looked lovely in their frocks: FabUK has the lowdown on how to copy Lucie's style.

Jim Carrey also switched on Oxford Street's Christmas lights with Jason Donovan, and Peter Andre, The Saturdays and Taio Cruz performed for the crowds. Over at Regent Street, Colin Firth turned on the lights while Oliver!'s Jodie Pregner, the Noisettes and Daniel Merriweather took to the stage. Bob Hoskins did the honours over at St Paul's Cathedral, and was joined on stage by Little Boots, Faryl Smith and Spandau Ballet. Andrea Bocelli then led crowds to try to break the record for the world's biggest carol singing event. What a fun evening! Pamela Anderson stripped down to a Baywatch-style red swimsuit at Richie Rich's catwalk show in Miami Beach yesterday, but she'll be donning a different costume soon as she will be starring in panto this Christmas! She will make her pantomime debut as the Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin at London's New Wimbledon Theatre in December. Off to Market Recap: Christmas Plate

When I was growing up, we had a special Christmas plate that was reserved for serving Santa Claus. Every Christmas Eve, my sister and I would take the pretty plate, place the most perfect cookies on it, and set it out by the tree. To relive old memories, I went looking for the long lost plate. Alas, it was nowhere to be found. I asked you to help me find a replacement by heading off to market in search of a beautiful Christmas plate worthy of Saint Nick. Royals Celebrate Christmas With Headwear and Facial Hair

Although the female members of the royal family showed off an array of hats on Christmas Day, all eyes were on Prince William's new facial hair: do you prefer him clean shaven or bearded? They gathered for a service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, and while Autumn Phillips and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie all chose low key headgear, Zara Phillips made a more daring choice with her magenta number: do you love or hate it? As so many of us are feeling the affects of the credit crunch, the Queen has reportedly shelved plans to buy a £7million private jet because it would be a "PR disaster". In her annual televised speech, the Queen spoke about how this Christmas is "a more somber occasion for many", but added that the courageous would be "all the more determined to struggle for a better future".

Group Therapy: Am I a Green-Eyed Monster?

I have been in a serious, monogamous relationship for nearly seven months. Both of us are very much in love, and I have been looking forward to our first holiday season together. For Christmas, he gave me a beautiful paper star lamp that hangs from the ceiling, which I had pointed out to him while shopping this Fall. However, this Summer his ex-girlfriend - whom he dated for five years - gave him back the necklace he gave her for their first Christmas which was a beautiful, ornate, heavy silver choker which probably cost around $150, whereas my gift cost about $25. I'm not really what you would call "materialistic," and the lamp itself is a nice gift, but I often have issues with their still-close relationship and the difference between the two gifts makes it seem as though he values me less, or thinks of our relationship as less of an "investment" than theirs.

I know this Christmas is less grand for everyone this year, but he has a job that is relatively unaffected by the recession. I spent around a $100 on him, and I'm a student! He's older, has a job and a house and money to spend on luxuries. Should I tell him he's offended me? Or just let it go? I don't want to sound like a brat, but she got a beautiful, sentimental gift, and I got a house-warming present! I feel like I'm always "second best."
