You may have seen beautiful latté art before, but have you ever seen latté art with text? How about cups of joe with intricate patterns and images? If you haven't, then you're in for a treat.

This past weekend, my friends and I found ourselves waiting in line for some tasty coffee. When our orders came up, we each had some cutesy latte art — hearts, leaves, etc. — and it got me wondering about latte art in general.

The bf (we're going to call him Jimmy from now on, okay? I really hate that phrase bf) is really into coffee. As in, we got rid of our microwave counter space in order to make room for the coffee pot, espresso machine, grinder and all the other bits of coffee paraphernalia.

The Internet gods know that I can't fully function in the morning without surfing my blogs and sippin' my coffee, which is why I'm particularly partial to the I Love You, Blogs and Coffee print from MadeByGirl. At $20 it seems like a steal, plus you can totally start a new tech-print trend, and toss those old Keep Calm and Carry On posters to the curb. And you don't have to be a java drinker to appreciate these works of art.

I hope by now you've joined my new group Lovely Little Vignettes, which is the place to share photos of the small vignettes you create in your home, or those you see online or at a friend's home. There were some great Halloween decorating vignettes shared in the group, but now I'm anxious to see your more autumnal and Thanksgiving-related vignettes! (If you're not sure what I mean by vignettes, this slideshow should make it clear.) So, show me what you got!

As Starbucks's dominance slips, I hope more people will turn to local coffee shops for their daily caffeine fix. The number one thing I love about my neighborhood cafe, Murano, is that the cappuccinos come with a pretty foam heart. In my opinion, the best coffee drinks are made with love, and latte art of any kind demonstrates a true passion for coffee-making.

I heart the Art Deco curlicue shape of this Paris Coffee Table ($1,645) like Milton Glaser hearts NY. It's chunky, solid, reclaimed elm top keeps its calligraphy-esque shape from seeming too la-di-dah, so it mixes well with a variety of décor styles. I may not live in the City of Lights, but I'd surely love to enjoy du vin et fromage on this beauty.

World-renowned Hungarian industrial designer Eva Zeisel turns 103 today! Though she is best known for her work with ceramics, Eva, a featured Designer Spotlight here on Casa, has designed everything from acrylic candelabras to wooden and glass coffee tables, and is considered by many to be the matriarch of industrial design.
In fact, New York magazine named Zeisel in its list of nine living Design Revolutionaries back in '07.
