If you want wee ones to take another little piece of your heart, serve it up on a pretty platter. We all know fish is good for the heart and full of protein so introducing it to tots at a young age will teach them to eat healthy. A cinch to cook, salmon is a tasty meal that leaves very little clean up behind.

The only food I sometimes have trouble getting my daughter to eat is meat. But, she'll always go for chicken nuggets. Barring fast food from her diet, I discovered a seemingly good option in the frozen section aisle of my grocery store.

I find that when I serve my daughter a meal with a story behind it, I have more success in getting her to eat it, especially in a timely manner. Whipping up a quick masterpiece will let your tot's imagination run wild while encouraging them to down vital nutrients. Shrimp are a wonderful source of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B12, and niacin.

I recently received a copy of Harumi's Japanese Home Cooking and have been meaning to try some of the recipes. Author Harumi Kurihara, who is often called the Japanese Martha Stewart, specializes in easy, home-cooked dishes with simple but elegant flavors. While looking for dinner ideas, I was inspired by the ease of her recipe for Chicken With Soy and Balsamic Vinegar.

I'm not sure when it happened, but lamb has become one of my favorite meats to eat. I used to be weird about it, thinking it was far too gamy. However, I realized I was wrong.

Although summer is over and fall is kicking in, there's still a lot of sunlight each day. During this time of year, where the weather is still nice — at least it is here! — but hearty fall flavors are calling your name, do yourself a favor and make a crockpot meal.

If you have any of yesterday's delicious lamb leftover, then dinner is going to be a real snap. These lamb pita pockets come together super easily, especially if you're using already cooked meat. And if you don't have any leftover lamb, don't fret, I've found a great recipe that won't take up much time at all.
