Interior stylist Paul Lowe makes beautiful vignettes with food, flowers, and home interiors and often creates unexpectedly charming arrangements from everyday objects.
I love this particular idea of Paul's: using egg cups instead of vases! Egg cups are a great way to cluster short-stemmed flowers or to display one big bloom, such as a dinner plate dahlia.

Easter is around the corner and I've got eggs on the brain. With its runny yolk and just cooked white, a soft boiled egg is one of my favorite breakfasts. However, I rarely treat myself to them because I don't own any egg cups.

I didn't grow up eating soft-boiled eggs, so I never knew what an egg cup was. It's used to keep your egg from falling over, so you can scoop out the gooey insides. Pretty useful if you ask me.

Omegas are all the buzz right now, and it seems like everywhere you turn, new foods are being enhanced with this essential fatty acid, or labeled as an excellent source. What people don't know is that there are different types of omegas, and eating too much of one kind can actually be harmful to your body.
Omega-3s are found in flax seeds, walnuts, cod liver oil, and fatty fish like mackerel, lake trout, albacore tuna, and salmon.

I'm one of the masses who's taken great advantage of the ballooning tart frozen yogurt trend. I make a pit stop at downstairs darling SoGreen at least once a week. But when Häagen-Dazs sent me its latest tart natural frozen yogurt flavor, I wanted to see if swapping it out for SoGreen was a possibility.

After a few weeks of warm temperatures, there's no denying it officially feels like Autumn. Yesterday I passed by one of those makeshift pumpkin patches on the city street corner and then immediately bought myself a long-sleeved turtleneck and a big bag of Brach's Harvest Mix. Now that I'm in the mood for this seasonably crisp weather and I've officially got an addiction to candy corn and other mellowcreme confections, I've got pumpkin on the brain.

Sunshine is a great source of vitamin D, but if cooler weather or your busy work or school schedule has you spending less time outside, you'll want to make sure you're getting enough from your diet. An adult woman needs five micrograms or 200 International Units (IU) of vitamin D each day, though it is argued that the RDI for women should be 800 to 1,000 IU. The tolerable upper intake level is 50 mcg or 2,000 IU.

Ice cream is one of my weaknesses, and I always keep some in the freezer just so I can enjoy a spoonful or two when I'm craving it. Frozen yogurt, low calorie sorbet, or dairy-free ice creams are all good options, but sometimes you want the real deal. If you're looking for a healthier alternative, but don't want to give up on flavor or creaminess, check out Haagen Dazs Five.
