Lately I've been trying to be more aware of my food chain. In fact, one of my goals for 2007 is to catch, kill and gut my own fish - Jimmy thinks I'm crazy, but I really want to do it. I think it would be a good reminder of the whole circle food chain thing.

Omegas are all the buzz right now, and it seems like everywhere you turn, new foods are being enhanced with this essential fatty acid, or labeled as an excellent source. What people don't know is that there are different types of omegas, and eating too much of one kind can actually be harmful to your body.
Omega-3s are found in flax seeds, walnuts, cod liver oil, and fatty fish like mackerel, lake trout, albacore tuna, and salmon.

There are so many reasons to love Greek yogurt, like Fage brand. According to the experts at the Berkeley Wellness Letter, Greek-style yogurt has about 50 percent more protein than regular yogurt, about 20 grams per eight-ounce cup to regular yogurt's 13 grams.
It is thicker because it is strained and the liquid (aka whey) is removed.

Hopefully ever woman knows that calcium is good for her bones and that it can help prevent osteoporosis. A new study indicates that eating your calcium, as opposed to taking a calcium supplement, may be more effective in creating strong bones.
Though not definitive, the study found that women who obtained most of their daily calcium from food had healthier bones with a higher bone density than women whose calcium came mainly from supplemental tablets.
