
Thanksgiving leftovers can sometimes be too much of a good thing. Tons of turkey meat and side dishes can be great, but not if they mean eating uninspired leftovers with monotonous flavors. Thankfully, there's loads you can do with leftovers beyond pot pie, sandwiches, and chili.

How's this for a Halloween fright? A woman in Auckland, New Zealand, was opening a package of
Heinz-Watties "choice cut" frozen green beans when she came across a strange-looking foreign object. The unidentified frozen object in question was a
shrunken mouse's head.

Yes and no. While an "haricot vert" literally translates to "green bean," these French green beans (left) are typically longer and thinner than their American counterparts (right). Haricots verts are more tender than the average green bean, and are often used in salads and
pickling recipes, where they are prized for their crispness.

Get the weekend started with this exotic, interesting meal. Thin slices of pork are cooked with coconut milk, curry, and lime juice. Green beans provide snap and red peppers add a nice crunch.
