Katie Lee Joel was crowned this year's queen of the
Burger Bash. The event, which was hosted by
Rachael Ray, was a part of the
Food Network's NYC Wine and Food Festival. Joel was the only participating female among the 18 chefs who submitted burgers.

When hosting a
viewing party of any sort, there are two options for planning a menu. You can serve
foods inspired by the show or popular dishes classic to the TV dinner. For my
Heroes season premiere party, I've decided to do the latter and offer friends a tasty re-interpretation of the 1950s TV dinner.

When planning the menu for a
going away party, there are several options. You can feature the honoree's favorite dishes, make the dishes that are native to the town she is leaving or the town she is moving to, or simply serve a delicious and comforting meal. In my case, I decided to combine these ideas.

There is nothing quite as comforting as a bowl of soup and a
grilled cheese sandwich. The classic pairing is tomato soup with American cheese, but I think this
green pea soup with cheddar scallion grilled cheese sounds delicious, modern, and perfect for spring. — Vicarious Foodie
